The following pictures are from a staircase painted in a style based on Chinoiserie. The work was over 3 floors and a hall. The pictures are in no particular order but show the end result. The last few pictures show the team - Kate, Chris and Nick. The last picture shows a wall before we started work.
The walls were filled, lined, 3 coats of acrylic eggshell, a soft ragged acylic scumble was applied and then we started to have fun and used a spray gun and some 8ft high stencils to lay in the body of the work. We then spent many a happy but often uncomfortable hour sitting on planks or perching on ladders adding all the detail. The finished work was then glazed over again with an acrylic scumble to tone down the "newness" and lock the work in place.
